As of March, 2010, one of ETA's key 2010 projects was completed successfully! ETA assisted the Town of East Lyme  with one of the first streetlight design and retrofit projects funded under the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act successfully. The historical preservation of the town ambience was key in this project. The historical streetlight combined with the longevity and tremendous energy savings of the US-made LED streetlights was a real appeal to a discriminating engineering and purchasing committee. A key requirement of the town was the "Made In America" label. The town selected Architectural Area Lighting (AAL) as their fixtures are made in California.

Bill Scheer, Town Engineer, said about the project:

"There has been no complaints and everything has been positive. The town was audited for compliance with the terms and consitions of the ARRA funding: no issue or errors were found by the auditors. This was the first audit conducted and due to ETA's guidance on meeting the letter of the law, the town went flawlessly"
