As a follow up to the LED Basics seminar, Daryl DeJean discussed the promising LED applications. Us Department of Energy quality assurance initiatives such as CALiPER, Gateway Demonstrations, SSL Quality Advocates and Standards Development were reviewed in depth. IESNA 's LM-79 and LM-80 guidelines were reviewed.

Phil Silverman, Facility Manager, CB Richard Ellis, shared the LED applications that his company helped his client implement throughout their buildings. The end-user and customers viewpoint was reviewed including maintenance costs, design and lighting characteristics that were prioritized by CBRE upon surveying their customer.
