Daryl DeJean was invited to join a panel to voice the lighting market's point of view at the April 13, 2010 conference at the Institute for Optical Sciences (IOS) at University of Toronto. More than 40 participants joined in the discussions.
The Institute for Optical Sciences (IOS) is an established cross-discipline research and commercialization center located on the campus of the University of Toronto. The Institute brings together chemistry, physics, materials science, polymers, nanotechnology, photonics, and advanced engineering that is supported by 27 faculty researchers and their students from the University’s departments of Physics, Chemistry, Material Science and Engineering, and Electrical and Computer Engineering. The Institute for Optical Sciences (IOS) at University of Toronto has started a SSL Research Network (SSLNet) to stimulate Canadian adoption of Solid State Lighting technology.
SSLNetwork was created to promote advancement of Solid State Lighting in Canada, facilitating communication, collaboration and knowledge transfer between researchers, industries, end-users and government agencies.
